We have decided to return to our old ISP Bredband2.com, since we were not able to get upgraded to 1Gbit through PirateISP.net and ViaEuropa.se as promised. We would have loved to stay with PirateISP.net, but due to extremely bad routing and high latency even within Sweden we have decided to return to our old ISP Bredband2.com permanently.

The bad routing started when PirateISP.net switched to their own network managed by SeriousTubes.org, it seems like there was no real peering with other Swedish ISP’s and our network speed got lowered to 10/40Mbit. SeriousTubes.org said it had to be a fault within ViaEuropa’s network, but we have our doubts especially after we changed back to Bredband2 and everything was rock stable again both latency and bandwidth wise.
We will stay Bredband2 permanently now, as we said when we changed last time to PirateISP.net we were in no way unhappy with Bredband2 the support was excellent and they were always forthcoming.
